  18. If the Primary Domain Controller is unavailable, the following error
  19. message occurs when you start Server Manager from a Backup Domain
  20. Controller (BDC):
  21.  
  22.    Cannot find the Primary DC for <domain name>. You may administer this
  23.    domain, but certain domain-wide operations will be disabled.
  24.  
  25. Typically, you would choose OK and then by default the Server Manager would
  26. display those computers that are members of the domain, plus those
  27. computers that are listed by the Computer Browser service as active in the
  28. domain.

  30. However, if Show Domain Members Only is selected in the Server Manager View
  31. menu, the computers listed by the Computer Browser service are filtered out
  32. and only the computers that are members of the domain are listed. If the
  33. Primary Domain Controller for the domain is unavailable, the BDC is unable
  34. to get the list of domain members and no computers are listed in the Server
  35. Manager window.

  37. To see a list of computers in the domain, clear the Show Domain Members
  38. Only selection.
